Sea Run Brown Trout - Villa Maria Lodge

This just in from Ale at Villa Maria Lodge in Tierra del Fuego...


"Today was a great day in Villa Maria Lodge, we caught a monster seatrout of 28 pounds! the fish was caught bythe happy angler Bolli Kristinson from Iceland. They decided to take it easy so we left the lodge at 10:00 am and arrived to our first pool at 10:30. Both started with Sunray Shadow. In the second cast Gusti hooked a nice fish and while i was about to net the fish, Bolli hooked his fish. Nice fish? i said. Yeah nice one, 18/20 pounds he said. I neted Gusti´s fish, we weighed, it was a nice 14 pounder. When we finished, the other fish was ready for the net, we left the first fish in the net and i neted the other fish, i couldn´t beleive when i saw the size of this fish compared with the 14 pounder, it was huge, almost the double! We weighed it and it tokk the scale down to 28 pounds! The fishing is very good now, a lot of big fish around, and they are all very fresh. This week we have lost two huge fish we estimate around 30 pounds, one very close to the net. And finally we landed one today!"
